Santa Clara, CA, September 5, 2002 - Intuit Inc. has signed a three year licensing agreement with Macrovision Corporation, allowing Intuit to incorporate Macrovision’s SAFECAST technology into their top-selling TurboTax® products.
Beginning this year, TurboTax products will require users to “activate” their software by entering a unique serial number in a simple on-line or telephone transaction. Macrovision SAFECAST manages and secures the activation transactions, insures that only software that has been properly activated can be used, and securely binds each copy of TurboTax to the computer on which it is installed. |
